Albert met us when we arrived even though it was quite late. The first day we took it to ‘relax’; We had breakfast and dinner on the roof and in the afternoon, we took a short ‘siesta’ nap. The second day we did the trail that passes through Puerto Collado at 890m high. The weather was great, we were able to enjoy the views of Cerro Lucero. We were doing trails all week. We also really liked the path of the Fábrica de la Luz in Canillas de Albaida, which passes through Puerto Blanquillo and brought us back to Cómpeta along the old smuggler trail. After a wonderful week in our Tokyo apartment, we had to sadly say goodbye.

We will surely come back again so we can hike more trails in this fantastic walking landscape! Tomorrow we will go to the airport along the coast to have lunch and return the rental car. Time has passed very quickly but we took this great walking experience to Holland to share with friends. Albert, thank you very much for your pleasant and relaxing help during our stay.

Granada Residence offers great value for money. We stayed in the deluxe studio which was tastefully furnished and had everything you could need for a short stay. The terrace had views over the town to the mountains and down to the Mediterranean. The apartment is centrally located just a short walk to the main square of Cómpeta and right beside one of the best restaurants of the village, El Pillon. There was public parking available close by. This accommodation is an ideal base for a hiking break in the spring and autumn with plenty of walks of varying degrees of difficulty on its doorstep. Our host was very helpful and quick to respond to queries.

Albert (el propietario) es una persona encantadora. Te sientes como si estuvieses en tu propia casa.

Lo mejor de la casa fue el upgrade que nos hizo Albert a un estudio con vistas y el propio dueño de la casa, muy simpático. La terraza tiene muy buenas vistas.

Muy buena la ubicación, junto a la plaza principal. Muy amplio y espacioso

Poner un pero, las cortinas, son claras y en cuanto amanece entra la luz, en la otra habitación son mas oscuras y no molesta tanto.

Absolutely lovely place! The location in Competa is perfect: quiet yet less than 2 minutes walk to the central square. The common roof terrace is large, well-equipped and offers great views. The whole house is beautifully decorated.

Graag bedanken wij jou voor de geweldige vakantie die wij mede dankzij jou hebben gehad in Competa. We verbleven 5 nachten van 5-10 maart 2022 in appartement Tokyo in de Granada Residence, om de hoek van Meson Hospederia. Het appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon, ruim en geweldig uitzicht vanaf het terras. Midden in het dorp gelegen, op loopafstand

Vanuit het appartement hebben we stevige en mooie wandelingen gemaakt, op de racefiets een flinke tocht gemaakt en een geweldige MTB tocht naar Acebuchal. Daarna was het steeds heerlijk eten in een van de leuke restaurants van Competa. Ontbijten op het dorpsplein was ook top, maar je kunt ook in het appartement prima ontbijten.

Je hebt ons steeds van goede tips voorzien en geholpen waar je kon. Gastvrij en relaxed. En in het appartement lagen de routes en tips klaar. Zonodig bracht je ons naar startpunt van de wandel- of MTB route. Competa is een goede uitvalsbasis om de prachtige omgeving te verkennen. Een sfeervol en authentiek “wit dorpje “ .

We zijn met de comfortabele lijnbus vanuit Malaga gegaan, een huurauto was niet nodig. We bevelen jouw accomodatie van harte aan.

Gracias de nuevo por facilitar nuestras vacaciones en bicicleta y cuidarnos durante nuestra semana en Cómpeta!. Usted fue el anfitrión perfecto para nosotros, que nos dio consejos y asistencia para rutas en bicicleta, viajes (sin bicicleta), comida y bebida, transporte, etc. Los apartamentos eran muy acogedores y estaban impecables.

Competa es una buena base para hermosos paseos en bicicleta de 45 a 130 kms en el entorno montañoso. En resumen, una estancia que puedo recomendar a todo turista (ciclista).

Precio/calidad para el paquete vacaciones en bicicleta máxima calificación!

Nogmaals dank voor het faciliteren van onze fietsvakantie en de goede zorgen tijdens onze week in Cómpeta!. Je was voor ons de perfecte gastheer die ons met raad én daad bijstond voor fietsroutes, uitstapjes (zonder fiets), spijs en drank, vervoer etc. De appartementen waren heel gezellig en spick en span.

Cómpeta is een goede uitvalsbasis voor mooie fietsritten van 45 tot 130 kms in de bergachtige omgeving. Kortom een verblijf dat ik iedere (wieler)toerist kan aanbevelen.

Thanks again for making our cycling holiday easy and taking care of us during our week in Cómpeta! You were the perfect host for us, giving advice and assistance for bike routes, trips (without a bike), food and drink,  ransportation, etc. The apartments were very cozy and spotless.

Cómpeta is a good base for beautiful bike rides of 45 to 130 kms in the mountainous environment. In short, a stay that I can recommend to all tourists (cyclists).

Perhaps the best stay in Andalusia! Beautiful house with an Asian twist. We loved the décor, the roof terrace and the home feeling that you get when you stay at Albert’s Studio apartment Singapore. The room we had was on the first floor, very spacious and elegant, good comfortable bed, complete kitchen with fridge, coffee and tea facilities, the nice seating area with TV and a small table is a bonus.

The house is just one street up from the plaza – the heart of Cómpeta. Breath taking views of the village, mountains and the sea from the roof terrace! You want to have a breakfast there. I also must mention a very friendly owner that makes sure you are taken care of and gives you good tips 🙂 All was fantastic. Even the nearby parking facility 2 streets below the house.

Mooi weer, prachtige streek, lekker eten & drinken, méér dan voldoende uitdagingen in de bergen voor een geslaagde mountainbike vakantie in Andalusië, enz, enz………

La Granada Residence heeft letterlijk alles in huis wat je nodig hebt op een fietsvakantie; een praktische keuken, mooie badkamers, een zeer ruime slaapkamer en natuurlijk het heerlijke dakterras met barbecue en
zonnebedden.

Ook de mountainbikes die we van Albert huurden waren top, de stalling/werkplaats op de b.g.g. was hel praktisch!

Albert, nog een dikke ‘merci’ voor de persoonlijke service, de transfers naar het Natuurpark en de nuttige informatie over de streek, de leuke tavernes onderweg, de winkeltjes en de lokale restaurantjes. Vooral  idartha on te Rock met lekker eten in de grote tuin en vriendelijke bediening.

La Granada Residence es preciosa, nos alojamos en el estudio Singapore, un lugar acogedor, limpio, bonito y con unas buenas vistas. La terraza en el azotea ideal para relajarse. A un paso del centro, su bonita plaza y restaurantes con unos platos exquisitos. Nos ha encantado!!!

Nuestre estancia a La Granada Residence fue muy bien. El trato, la terraza y el apartamento Singapore estaba muy bien.

El pueblo de Cómpeta es precioso, con mucha vida y la casa está super bien ubicada. Tiene todo lo necesario para estar tranquilos y, aunque no hay piscina, está el polideportivo municipal a dos minutos y la playa a media hora. El trato de Albert fue súper cordial y amable, muy atento en todo. Estábamos como en casa. Ideal para ir en familia. No encuentro nada que no me haya gustado, por poner una pega tonta, no encontré sartenes, pero igual fui yo que no busqué bien.

Lo primero de todo la hospitalidad del dueño del apartamento, la limpieza y la organización de la vivienda, todo estupendo.

The location and the apartment are simply great. I’d recommend staying there to anyone! The rooftop terrace and kitchen were awesome, we even had the chance to have a BBQ cook-out on the roof terrace. The view and the location are absolutely amazing, and the host was very helpful and kind. Thank you for having us!

Alberto and the Singapore apartment were fantastic. Albert met us upon arrival in the local plaza and brought us to the apartment, only 1 minute away and showed us our accommodation, spacious and Asian charm, very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. We went to the plaza for a meal which Albert had booked for us and paid for our bottle of wine, thanks again Albert, lovely accommodation in the hart of the village and Cómpeta is a beautiful village. Free parking is only 5 minutes’ walk away in this beautiful ‘whitewashed’ village ❤️

Pueblecito para no olvidar! Lo primero el trato con el dueño, ya que además de agradable es una persona muy servicial. Y la originalidad de la Singapore!

Encantada con su encanto, sinceramente todo. Tanto el trato de Albert, el casero, que le mareamos un poco con la hora de la llegada y aún así fue súper comprensivo y nos recibió con una sonrisa en la cara. Su confianza en nosotros. La limpieza y orden del apartamento Singapore. No le faltaba detalle, una decoración muy exquisita Asiatio con rincones mágicos. Cama super cómoda, cocina completa con cafetera (necesito café para vivir). Albert estaba atento a nosotros por Whatsapp por si necesitábamos cualquier cosa, pero teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos. Una casa ideal para descansar, desconectar y pasar unas vacaciones de ensueño.

We hebben wéér een fantastische wandelvakantie met jullie gehad, we waren hier nu voor de 5e keer en zijn nóg steeds niet uitgekeken in het uitgestrekte Natuurpark! Wat een prachtig, rustig wandelgebied is dit  toch en dan natuurlijk……… het heerlijke wandelweer met iedere dag een heerlijk zonnetje. Super, tot de volgende keer maar weer, we komen zéker nog een keer terug! Bedankt voor jullie goede zorgen en het heerlijke huis met prachtig dakterras met zicht op zee.

Great apartment in a great location for a walking holiday and great service from Albert. Modern, clean, spacious, and well-equipped studio apartment Singapore in the centre of the village. A lovely rooftop patio was a great place to relax.

The owner, Albert, was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was with a faulty heater and when he wasn’t able to fix it himself, Albert had an alternative solution up-and-running within 30 minutes.

It was a bit hard to find the property when we first arrived in the village. Our sat-nav had us driving round the tight hilly lanes of Cómpeta when the solution was to park in one of the three parking areas nearby and call Albert who came to collect us and we went to the apartment on foot, but this is a small quibble from an otherwise excellent experience at La Granada Residence.

Na een goede vlucht en vlotte autoreis van Málaga naar Cómpeta (we stopten even aan het strand voor een koel drankje) vonden we het fijn dat Albert ons bij het beeld van de muilezeldrijver, nét voor het dorp, opwachtte. Was wél even wennen aan zo’n dorp tegen een helling aangebouwd met smalle, steile straatjes waar auto’s rijden! We waren erg onder de indruk van het mooie, zonnige appartement Tokyo op de tweede etage. We hebben lekker gewandeld en veel van de mooie natuur genoten. Het weer zat ons erg mee, behalve één dag met een beetje regen, toen zijn we het Picasso Museum in Málaga wezen bezoeken. Het dakterras was heerlijk om in de zon te ontbijten en ’s avonds om van een afzakkertje bij zonsondergang te genieten, prachtige zonsondergang met felle kleuren in het westen. We hebben enorm van de rust en de natuur genoten en zijn weer helemaal ‘bijgekomen’.

Albert, nogmaals hartelijk dank voor je ondersteuning waar nodig en heel veel succes met het exploiteren van La Granada Residence!

Onze aankomst in Cómpeta beloofde veel goeds, een hartelijke ontvangst door Albert die ons al tegemoet gereden was voor onze late aankomst. De eerste dag was een ‘onthaast dagje’ om even bij te komen van de reis, op ’t gemak ontbeten op het dakterras van het appartement, beetje ‘bijslapen’ en ’s middags natuurlijk een echte Spaanse Siësta gehouden. S ’avonds op het dakterras met een lekker wijntje en tapas van de zonsondergang genoten. De volgende dag weer helemaal fris en op pad naar de wandelroute via Puerto del Collado op 890 meter hoogte. Het weer was prima dus we konden mooi van de fantastische uitzichten over de bergen met Cerro Lucero er bovenuit stekend genieten. We maakten de hele week mooie wandeltochten; wij vonden o.a. de route van de Fábrica de Luz in Canillas de Albaida, via de Puerto Blanquillo en het oude muilezel pad terug naar Cómpeta, en de route van het dorp Salares naar Cómpeta erg mooi, maar we hebben lang niet alle ‘tracks’ deze week kunnen lopen. Na een heerlijk weekje in ons mooie en gerieflijke appartement Tokyo kwam er jammer genoeg een einde aan ons verblijf in dit mooie dorp.

We komen vast nog ’s terug om de andere wandelroutes te gaan lopen! Morgen rijden we via de kust (koffiestop) terug naar Málaga om de huurauto in te leveren, de tijd is omgevlogen, maar deze heerlijke ervaring nemen we mee naar het frisse Nederland, wij kunnen er weer even tegen! Albert, erg bedankt voor jouw relaxte en betrokken aanpak!

De omgeving van het appartement is prima om wandelingen in de bergen te maken, supermarkt, café en restaurantjes op de plaza, alles dicht in de buurt.

Alles was prima in orde.

Mooi en ruim appartement midden in het dorp, tegen het Sierra Tejeda & Almijara Natuurpark, ideaal voor onze MTB-routes. Ruim studio appartement Singapore met prima voorzieningen, ook de stalling/werkplaats voor de fietsen in het huis was dik in orde. Ook zeer smaakvol ingericht met Aziatische details.

I´m already looking forward to my next walking holiday and stay at La Granada Residence. Very cosy studio apartment with genuine Asian decor situated in the very centre of the village. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the church bells and bit later hear the laughter from the children passing on their way to school.

The kitchen was well equipped and the beds VERY comfortable. In my experience it´s rare to get a bed in Spain that’s not stony firm with horrible artificial bed cover and linen smelling of strong perfumed washing detergent. At La Granada Residence the king-size beds where just the right, not to firm and not too soft. There was a lovely duvet and clean, cotton linen.
